There have been 234 new coronavirus cases recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Wednesday, October 27).

The latest data shows there were 103 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 100 in Pembrokeshire and 31 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 39,682 – 23,174 in Carmarthenshire, 11,153 in Pembrokeshire and 5,355 in Ceredigion.

There were three new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 563 throughout the pandemic.

In total 2,582 new cases of coronavirus and five new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 429,731 cases and 6,122 deaths.

There have been 16,662 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,435,396 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,241,637 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

‘Booster’ doses have been given to 365,765 people and 17,445 people have received a three dose primary course of covid-19 vaccine.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
