About The Llanelli Standard

The Llanelli Standard newspaper and website are operated by Red Brand Media, a not-for-profit social enterprise, under the ownership of CETMA. Serving as Llanelli's free community newspaper, the publication is collaboratively written by community journalists in conjunction with the Red Brand Media team.

Our Story

The team behind the Llanelli Standard is driven by the mission to bring the latest community news and information to the people of the electoral ward of Llanelli.

In 2019, the team behind the West Wales Chronicle set up Red Brand Media in order to meet the needs of a specialist community media presence, and the Llanelli Standard was born.

Over the past few years, Red Brand Media has added Polish News, a special Welsh Language Project called Newyddion Lle, and a feature wellbeing magazine called Mind Body & Soul to the Llanelli Standard.
