Cofiwch Dryweryn – We got the power!

Wales produces twice as much electricity as we need. If that’s the case, then why are our prices going up? It’s not as if we’re using the stuff.

We export it to England, just like we’ve done with all of our resources. I say export, more like it is taken from us.

But we get handouts from Westminster that help us survive, don’t we?

The only reason that the Tories want to keep the union together is because England would be worse off. The abused partner always tells the victim that they can’t possibly survive without them, where would they go, they’d be worse off. Wales is always told that, but we export our electricity, and water.

We have a great economy that would surely soar if the shackles of Westminster were broken.

Think about what they usually tell us:

  • “Too small to be independent.” Iceland only has around 300,000 people and they are doing well.

  • “You couldn’t survive on your own as we give you handouts.” Taxes     raised in Wales go to Westminster and are returned to Wales as the budget for the Welsh Government. However, not all the taxes raised in Wales benefits us. They go to the treasury. Don’t forget that Westminster also takes money out for defence and £5 billion for HS2.

Think of the language:

  • A former director of Iceland called it a “dead language that sounds uncannily like someone with bad catarrh clearing his throat”.
  • There have been claims that bilingual signs will cause road accidents. Ok,     we’ll put all the signs in Welsh?

I won’t even mention the sheep shagger ‘banter’ as they call it, but there’s a lot of hatred and animosity from across the border towards Wales and the Welsh. If they don’t like us then let us go.

But they won’t. Why? Because we’ve got the power, and the water.

All we want is to be treated equally, and that doesn’t mean spending £12,000,000 on some books telling Welsh school kids how wonderful Elizabeth Mountbattenburg is, especially as that money could go towards feeding them!

So, next time someone from Westminster has a go at the Welsh Language or Wales, just remind them that we got the power!
