Could you spare a few hours each week to help bring a little comfort
to hospital patients?
Volunteering for Health, Hywel Dda University Health Board’s
volunteering scheme, are seeking to recruit volunteers to help
maintain shop trolley services in Prince Philip Hospital.
The service is looking for volunteers between the hours of 8.30am to
12.30pm and/or 3pm – 5.30pm from Monday to Friday. Volunteers will be
required to deliver shop goods to inpatients, and also load/ unload
the trolley.
David Fretwell, Volunteering Manager said: “The much loved trolley
service in Prince Philip Hospital relies on the help of volunteers,
and provides inpatients with access to home comforts such as
newspapers, confectionery and toiletries.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who can spare a few hours a week to
help others.
“Volunteering for Health not only benefits our patients, but also the
volunteers themselves, who find it rewarding and helps them to gain
experience for their future careers.”

A oes gennych rai oriau yr wythnos yn rhydd i helpu cysuro cleifion
ysbyty?
Mae Gwirfoddoli dros Iechyd, cynllun gwirfoddoli Bwrdd Iechyd
Prifysgol Hywel Dda, yn ceisio recriwtio gwirfoddolwyr i helpu gynnal
gwasanaethau’r siop droli yn Ysbyty Tywysog Philip.
Mae’r gwasanaeth yn edrych am wirfoddolwyr rhwng 8.30am a 12.30pm
a/neu 3pm-5:30pm o ddydd Llun i ddydd Gwener. Bydd gofyn i
wirfoddolwyr fynd nwyddau siop i gleifion mewnol, a
llwytho/dadlwytho’r troli.
Dywedodd David Fretwell, Pennaeth Gwasanaethau Gwirfoddoli: “Mae’r
gwasanaethau troli poblogaidd yn Ysbyty Tywysog Philip yn dibynnu ar
help gwirfoddolwyr, ac yn darparu nwyddau cyfarwydd i gleifion mewnol
megis papurau newydd, melysion a nwyddau ymolchi.
“Rydym yn awyddus i glywed wrth unrhyw un all roi rhai oriau bob
wythnos i helpu eraill.
“Yn ogystal bod o fudd i gleifion, mae Gwirfoddoli dros Iechyd hefyd
o fudd i’r gwirfoddolwyr eu hunain – maen nhw’n cael boddhad ac yn
ennill profiad ar gyfer eu gyrfaoedd.”
