Due to flood damage, the road between Soar Mynydd and Tyn y Cornel, is closed. Extensive damage caused by flooding has resulted in this route being dangerous.
The attached photograph shows the extent of some of the damage. Padlocked gates have been installed at the locations shown on the map which have resulted in the access off the northern end of the popular Dothie Valley bridleway, which leads to Tyn Cornel Youth Hostel being denied. It is the Council’s intention to secure the works required to re-open the road in the summer of 2015-16 subject to agreements and budget availability. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
