Llanelli’s beloved ethical vegan supermarket Kind Earth is closing this month after nearly two and a half years trading, during which time it has served as a community hub, bringing people together, supporting important causes and catalysing personal and social change.
Matt, the face behind Kind Earth, will be embarking on an exciting new endeavour. On January 1st 2022 he shall be embarking on the Kind Earth ‘Freedom Walk’ walking around the UK with the intention of using his privilege to raise awareness of injustice, inequalities, loss of freedoms and other issues being suffered by Mother Earth and all her beings. In a time of massive division the focus of the walk will be to reconnect people with each other and the gifts of Mother Earth. He will be offering talks to schools colleges, businesses and other groups and will act to support local causes and organisations, as appropriate, in whatever ways he can. He will not be personally asking for anything once he starts moving, all money donated will go to charities along the way with full, clear, transparency about what has been received and where it has gone.
The word community is vital to what the freedom walk is trying to achieve with Matt being a firm believer that through connection we can help raise awareness of the selfish destruction being inflicted on Mother Earth and her beings, continue to fight the inequalities caused, and make a difference to all in the global community.
