Llanelli’s Ffwrnes Theatre will welcome a brand-new adaptation of Kind Hearts and Coronets to their Stiwdio Stepni on Thursday 29th October at 7:30pm.

The famous Ealing comedy, Kind Hearts and Coronets was voted number six in the British Film Institute’s list of ‘Best British Films of the 20th Century’. Now, Ignition Theatre’s new production, written by Derek Webb and directed by Peter Richards, is set to bring the classic comedy to audiences once again.

The play tells the tale of Archie Gascoyne Williams. When Archie learns that he could inherit the title and fortune of the wealthy Gascoyne family, he sets out to eliminate every relative standing in his way. As bodies begin to pile up, Archie must balance his murderous ambitions with an increasingly complicated love life in this darkly comic tale of greed, romance and revenge.

The original film starred Dennis Price as the lead, and Alec Guinness who played all six murder victims. This bold new production follows the same pattern, with the murdered Gascoynes played by Derek Palmer, and the ladies in Archie’s life played by Emma Stacey. Archie himself is played by James Scannell, who starred in Ignition Theatre’s previous productions,Call Me Dusty and The Invisible Man.

Tickets are priced at £16.50 and can be booked online at www.theatrausirgar.co.uk or with the box office on 0345 2263510
