The Challenge Cup Final took place on the 14th May 2022. It was contested between Camford Sports and Felinfoel AFC at Stebonheath Park.

Camford secured their place in the final after a 3-1 win over FC Carmarthen in the semi-final, courtesy of a hat-trick from Jack Roberts.

Felinfoel AFC established their place in the final after a 5-1 victory over CKSV (Calsonic Kansei Swiss Valley) 2nd team with a brace from Tom Roberts, and goals from David Owens, Chris James and Lloyd Francis.

The final was expected to be a close game between the Carmarthenshire Division 1 winners Felinfoel, against Camford with each only having won once against each other in the league. However, Camford’s victory in the league prevented their opposition from going the full season unbeaten.

Felinfoel went 1-0 up in the final after 19 minutes, courtesy of a goal from Tom Roberts. After half-time, Camford came out the quickest and got an equaliser three minutes later via Joel Andrews and they looked to build on that equaliser. However, after replacing the Felinfoel goal scorer, substitute Matthew Ellis gave Felinfoel a 2-1 lead. Camford aimed to equalise which ultimately they could not.

Therefore, Felinfoel celebrated their win as double winners as the Division 1 League Champions and Challenge Cup winners.
