A new foodbank has opened up in the Pembrey and Burry Port area thanks to CETMA.
It’s already had support from the community, with Burry Port Co-op having a basket set up for donations, Caffi Lolfa have also set up a basket and My Motor.Net in Pembrey.
We’ve had Nas Rasoi Indian Restaurant in Pembrey offer us the use of their restaurant area which for the time being is not being used for the foreseeable future, we will be opening up premises there from Wednesday (26th March) morning.
We have also been inundated with generous donations from the community including Tessa Finch of Finch Accountancy, one lady in Burry Port donated her Co-op card which had money remaining on it, Meddygfa Tywyn Bach dropped off a cash donation at Caffi Lolfa, which all donations will go towards buying more food items need for the foodbank

On Saturday 21st March Reprensatives of Pembrey AFC Juniors were at the pitch taking donations from the community.

These are the type of items that the Foodbank will need:
UHT Milk
Bread
Pasta
Cereal
Pasta sauce
Tinned meat (ham, spam, hot dogs)
Tinned meals (curry, Bolognese, meatballs, mac cheese)
Tinned tomatoes
Custard
Tinned fruit
Tinned veg (sweet corn, peas and carrots)
Tea and coffee
Sugar
We’ll also need items that are suitable for people with allergies, and vegans and vegetarians.
Anything that you’re able to provide will be appreciated
