First Cymru has been working with the government and wider industry to ensure that Coronavirus safety advice and guidelines are being followed on their busses for the safety of customers and staff.

Commuters are being advised, in line with government guidelines, to continue keeping all travel reduced except for the absolutely essential, with consideration for limited capacity in the system that allows for social distancing to be maintained. Instead, people are advised to consider walking, cycling, and other forms of transport wherever possible before utilizing public transport. Those who must rely on public transport are also being advised to give an extra time allowance, owing to the possibility of extra time being needed to maintain social distancing and safety measures.

The level of reduced capacity the service is presently operating under means that roughly 1 in 4 seats is available, leading to the possibility of ‘Bus Full’ signs being seen. In instances where busses are passing by stations, this is the most probable reason as to why.
