The ReConnecting project has risen from the ashes of the Bytes and Bites programme which had to be cancelled due to Covid-19. Dr Mz and the Carmarthenshire 50+ Forum decided to go ahead and continue with our combined desires to reconnect the generations.
We still want to connect younger and older people together, taking part in activities that we think we appeal to both sets of people. It is early days for the project, we have had little time to do testing of the project so we go live with no practice – be kind.
We have 4 sessions planned:
August 12th – An introduction to the project from Dr Mz and 50+
August 19th – a getting to know you session from People Speak Up.
August 26th – House Plants 101
September 2nd – Felting demonstration with Jane Evans – To be confirmed.
Other topics in planning: ‘Live Cluedo, a mystery play written for us and with some members of the audience playing the parts; writing e books, music sessions with local live performers.’
