Carmarthenshire County Council buildings and front facing services are defined as public spaces where you will need to wear a face covering. These include:

√ Markets
√ Reception areas in public buildings
√ Museums
√ Any place where members of public enter Council buildings etc.
There is no defined list of physical or mental health conditions that are deemed as a reasonable excuse and this will be on an individual case by case basis.
Most individuals with physical or mental health conditions should be able to provide information or documentation to support their reasons. Some health or disability organisations (such as Hidden Disabilities, MIND etc.) are providing ‘exemption cards’ or if the individual has concerns relating to wearing a face covering that may affect their medical condition, they should seek advice from their GP or medical practitioner.
Customers must wear a face covering in all indoor public spaces, but it is not recommended that face coverings are worn whilst undertaking exercise.
In our Leisure Centres and Sports facilities, customers are expected to wear face coverings in all areas but are permitted to remove the face covering for certain activities such as swimming or physical exercise.
Customers can visit the Actif website or speak to their Leisure Centre to clarify the activities where it has been identified as reasonable to remove the face covering. There will be other measures in place to maximise safety within these designated areas.
Employees are required to wear face coverings inside the café / restaurant unless they are exempt or have a reasonable excuse to remove them.
Customers in our café’s / restaurants should wear a face covering (unless they are exempt or have a reasonable excuse to remove them) to enter and move around the premises. They can remove the face covering whilst they are seated at their table.
Three-layer face coverings are recommended by Welsh Government and WHO Guidance.
No, social distancing and good hygiene practices must be maintained as these continue to be the most effective methods to prevent the spread of the virus.
