Residents of Glanmor Terrace, Burry Port, are being asked for their cooperation in clearing land opposite their home which has been used to park vehicles, caravans and trailers.
Carmarthenshire County Council has been investigating the legal process for removing vehicles and caravans which have been parked on authority land that is earmarked for development.
It has now asked residents of Glanmor Terrace for their cooperation in removing their property from the land so that it can be cleared and secured.
The council proposes to take legal action to remove anything that remains after Wednesday, August 19, 2015, and will place notices on vehicles and caravans advising that the removal will be enforced.
Local members have been kept informed and have liaised with residents. The council has also sent letters to households informing them on progress of investigations, which have been complex.
Part of the investigation has included a traffic survey, which has concluded that there is sufficient on-street parking for vehicles.
However, following calls from residents, the council’s transport and highways department is looking at the possibilities of introducing residents parking.
