CETMA is proud to continue its 2025 Easter Egg Appeal, launched in January to ensure that children across Llanelli receive an Easter egg this spring. With many families facing increasing financial pressures, the appeal aims to bring a little joy to children who might otherwise miss out on a simple seasonal treat.
The appeal invites the public to get involved in three easy ways: nominating a child who would benefit, donating Easter eggs directly to CETMA’s Llanelli office, or donating the cost of an egg so CETMA can purchase one on your behalf. A short video has also been released to help raise awareness and explain how the community can take part.
CETMA has already received early support from local businesses, including a generous donation of Easter eggs from Asda, helping the appeal get off to a strong start.
Keith Evans‑Hurley, Director at CETMA, said:
“We launched the Easter Egg Appeal in January because we know how tough things are for many families right now. Something as small as an Easter egg can bring a huge amount of happiness to a child. We’re incredibly grateful to Asda for their early support, and we hope more local people and businesses will join us. Let’s share a bit of Easter happiness with the children who need it most.”
A Local resident shared with the team at CETMA why she supports the appeal:
“It’s such a simple idea, but it means so much. Not every family can afford extras at the moment, and knowing that a child will get an Easter egg because of a small donation is really heart‑warming. It’s lovely to see the community coming together.”
With rising living costs affecting households across Llanelli, many families are struggling to afford seasonal treats. CETMA’s Easter Egg Appeal helps relieve some of that pressure by providing children with a small but meaningful gift, while also strengthening community bonds and encouraging local giving.
Anyone wishing to support the appeal can drop off Easter eggs at CETMA’s Llanelli office, nominate a child who would benefit, or donate the cost of an egg online. To take part, visit cetma.org.uk/llanelli.
