Seasonal dog restrictions will come into force at twelve beaches in Pembrokeshire on Friday, 1st May.
There will be a total ban on dogs at three beaches, and a partial ban at nine others.
The restrictions will continue until 30th September.
Dog-owners found to be in breach of the ban risk a fine of £500.
The three beaches subject to a total dog ban are Tenby North, Tenby Harbour and Whitesands.
Partial beach bans are in place on the following beaches:
- Lydstep beach
- Newgale beach and promenade
- Saundersfoot beach and promenade
- Tenby Castle beach
- Tenby South beach
- Amroth beach and promenade
- Poppit Sands beach
- Broad Haven North beach
- Dale beach
There is also a partial dog restriction at Tenby Harbour promenade.
Detailed maps are displayed at all the beaches affected, which show those areas where dogs can or cannot be walked as well as lead- only areas.

The bye-laws prohibiting dogs from areas of certain beaches exist primarily to protect the interests of bathers during the summer season.
