Festive smiles at Glangwili’s Children’s Ward
Scarlets players headed to Cilgerran Children’s Ward at Glangwili General Hospital on Tuesday 14th December to hand out gifts to the region’s youngsters who are in hospital over Christmas.
Scarlets vice-captain Scott Williams was joined by Rob Evans, Rhys Patchell, Jonathan Davies, John Barclay, James Davies and newcomer Johnny Mcnicholl visited Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen, ahead of this weekend’s European Rugby Champions Cup clash against Toulon at Parc y Scarlets.
The Scarlets players went along to Cligerran Children’s Ward to bring festive joy to the children who are suffering from illness over Christmas.
Their afternoon visit saw them move from bed to bed visiting patients from across the region, hand out Scarlets goody bags, gifts from Tesco Trostre as well as posing for photographs.
The visits, which have become an annual event in the region’s calendar, are an opportunity for the players to give something back to supporters and communities within the region.
The Scarlets would like to thank all the staff at Cilgerran Ward, Glangwili General Hospital for their warm welcome and a speedy recovery to all of the patients. We’d also like to thank Tesco Trostre for donating gifts to the patients and to the Ward’s play room.
