At 9.39pm on Wednesday, April 15th, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Kidwelly Fire Station was called to an incident at Monksford Street in Kidwelly.

The crew responded to three lambs that had become trapped approximately 20 metres down a stone water culvert that was located approximately 3 to metres underground.  Crews demonstrated excellent initiative and utilised a hose inflation kit, general purpose lines, shovels and spades to dig several holes to locate the culvert and retrieve the lambs.

The crew left the scene at 11.46pm.  Pictured are the Kidwelly crew with two of the lambs before they were safely returned to the care of their owner.
