The Llanelli Conservatives are disappointed to report that one of the large general election posters, for candidate Selaine Saxby, has been stolen. The poster was displayed on Bryngwili Road on a private wall. The space has been previously used by other political parties and for other events, without a similar theft. Permission to use the space was given by the wall’s owners and even whilst erecting the poster, the team were subjected to a torrent of verbal abuse from a local resident. The incident has been reported to the police and local CCTV camera owners are being contacted.
Selaine Saxby said of the incident “obviously it is disappointing, as it is a criminal act I am meeting with the police to discuss the incident. Llanelli Conservatives are committed to running a clean campaign and will continue to do so.”
