At 11.01am on Thursday, April 23rd, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Llanelli, Tumble, Port Talbot, Kidwelly and Swansea West Fire Stations were called to an incident at Nevills Dock in Llanelli.

The crews responded to a fire at an industrial involving one portable conveyor machine and approximately 150 tonnes of recycling material.

The incident was sectorised and crews utilised two ground monitors, two main jets, two hose reel jets and on-site excavators to extinguish the fire.  After extinguishing the fire, crews continued to dampen down.  Crews were supported by the attendance of water bowser appliances from Tumble and Port Talbot Fire Stations.
