WANT to know what the Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Panel does? Like to ask the Commissioner a question?
People can now submit questions to the Panel for it to put to the Commissioner, on any issue relating to the Commissioner’s role such as the force budget, the police estate and how he monitors the work of the Chief Constable.
Panel members can also submit their own questions to be put to the Commissioner, who attends all the meetings.
Panel Chair Cllr Alun Lloyd Jones said: “We would like to encourage public engagement with the Panel, and enlist their help in holding the Commissioner to account.”
Questions can be submitted via the website: www.dppoliceandcrimepanel.wales, or submitting them in writing to (insert Panel email address) at least 10 days before the next meeting of the Panel.
Panel member Cllr Jim Jones said: “I think it is really important that we give people the platform to engage with us and with the Commissioner.
“We want to know what their concerns are, and will put those concerns directly to the Commissioner on their behalf.”
