Why a Vote to Leave would put Wales back in the fast lane
Vote Leave campaigners, David TC Davies and Nathan Gill, will be joined by the original Stig of Top Gear fame in Cardiff this Sunday to make the case for a Vote to Leave the EU on June 23.
The Stig backs the campaign for a Leave vote, and the pair will be on Cardiff’s Queen Street on Sunday Morning to talk to members of the public about why our exit from the EU would put Wales “back in the fast lane”.
Speaking ahead of the visit, David Davies MP, said:
“We are delighted to have The Stig joining us on Sunday to highlight the campaign for a Vote to leave the EU. We firmly believe that if we leave the EU we can put Wales back in the fast lane.
“EU membership costs the UK around £10 billion a year more than we receive in funding, and we would be free to spend that money on local priorities decided by politicians that we vote for and that we can kick out.
“A Vote to Leave would mean more money for hospitals, more money for farmers, and more money to support the regeneration of our poorest communities. It would free businesses from reams of red tape and regulation, and it would mean that we could build a fairer, safer immigration system.
“For too many years Wales has been held back by a bureaucratic, unaccountable elite in Brussels who simply don’t have our best interests at heart. That’s why we need to Vote Leave on June 23 and take back control of our own affairs.”
