A new face to the reds but a familiar one to many around Stebo. Peter Tiffin is appointed as CEO of Llanelli Town AFC. Peter will report too and work with Wayne Stephens. He will have a number of responsibilities put in place by Wayne Stephens.
Speaking with Media Officer Mike Hope Peter said ‘As part owner of both the West Wales Raiders and Stebonheath Sports Bar I have always held a keen interest in Llanelli Town AFC and have tried to catch the games when I can. Therefore when I was approached by Wayne Stephens and his father (Neil) with the opportunity to be more involved I thought that’s a fantastic way of incorporating all my sporting and business background in helping the reds to grow.
Among his many duties, Peter will be responsible for implementing the priorities and targets of the club’s business plan. Also he will oversee the operations of the club in a professional manner ensuring that all objectives and targets as set by the club are met. He will assist the media team to develop the club’s brand and engagement with the local community seeking at all times to maximize new and existing commercial revenue streams.
Continuing to speak with Mike Hope Peter added ‘The reds have a huge history going back decades with some historic games at Stebo, I want to work hard with the board, staff, and volunteers to bring those times back. One of my main aims is to bring the sports together and to develop Stebonheath Park into a fantastic sporting venue which it deserves. Being involved in both the Reds and the Raiders will give me a unique opportunity to source better funding revenues which in turn will put more money into the club’s development’
Such good news off the field will be a great relief to reds fans after an indifferent season. Whenever the next season starts we will be in a strong position to fight for honors on the field to get us back to competing at the top level of Welsh football.
