Album Review
This months album review is The Killers with their 6th studio album Imploding the Mirage, which was released on the 21st August. The band formed in Las Vegas in 2001 with lead singer Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vanucci Jr, Imploding the Mirage has become the bands 6th number one album, which includes Hot fuss, Day and Age and Sam’s Town. Here’s my review of the album with songs being marked out of 10
Track Listing
1. My Own Souls Warning 9/10
2. Blowback 7/10
3. Dying Breed 7/10
4. Caution 9/10
5. Lightning Fields feat K.D Lang 7/10
6. Fire in Bone 8/10
7. Running Towards a Place 8/10
8. My God feat Weyes Blood 7/10
9. When the Dreams Run Dry 8/10
10. Imploding the Mirage 7/10
Another fine album from The Killers, not as memorable as Hot Fuss with Mr Brightside being their biggest hit to date going down well at discos and still hanging around the lower reaches of the top 100 UK singles chart clocking up almost 250, unmistakable vocals from Brandon Flowers, with stand out tracks My Own Souls Warning and Caution. Overall I give this album 8/10, all thoughts are my own, If you have a suggestion for a future album review then get in touch with me eevans@llanellistandard.com
