Antiques Fair Weekend

A vast cornucopia of collectables and curios will transform the National Botanic Garden of Wales over Antiques Weekend (Jan 26-27).

Retro, classic and vintage treasures are taking centre stage among the rare and endangered blooms in a variety of venues around the Carmarthenshire attraction.

The event has increased from just 23 stalls in the early days, to more than 100 around the site including the Great Glasshouse, Theatr Botanica, the Garden Marquee and the impressive Regency-era Principality House.

Organiser Brita Rogers, of Derwen Fairs, said: “Our Botanic Garden fairs have proved a real success, increasing in size to up to 100 stands and, last year, we had record numbers of visitors.”

Brita added: “This coming weekend will be a fabulous showcase for a wonderful variety of quality antiques and collectables to suit all tastes and budgets.”

The Garden and the fair are open from 10am to 4.30pm (last entry is 3.30pm). Admission to the Garden is just £5, with free parking.

Penwythnos Hen Bethau

Mae stondinau yn drymlwythog â thrysorau a bargeinion di-ri i drawsffurfio Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru dros y Penwythnos Hen Bethau (Ionawr 26-27).

Mae trysorau retro, clasurol a hen yn  cymryd y canolbwynt ymhlith y blodau prin ac mewn perygl mewn amrywiaeth o leoliadau o gwmpas yr atyniad yn Sir Gaerfyrddin.

Mae’r digwyddiad wedi cynyddi o ddim ond 23 o stondinau yn y dyddiau cynnar, i dros 100 dros y safle yn cynnwys y Tŷ Gwydr Mawr, Theatr Botanica, Pabell Fawr yr Ardd ac y Tŷ Principality trawiadol o’r cyfnod y Rhaglwyiaeth.

Dywedodd y trefnydd – Brita Rogers o Ffeiriau Derwen: “Mae ein ffeiriau yn yr Ardd Fotaneg wedi profi i fod yn llwyddiant gwirioneddol, gyda chynnydd mewn maint gyda lan i 100 o stondinau, a llynedd, roeddem wedi cael record mewn nifer o ymwelwyr.”

Dywedodd Brita hefyd: “Bydd y penwythnos i ddod yn arddangosfa wych ar gyfer amrywiaeth hyfryd o hen bethau o safon a deunyddiau casglu i gyd-fynd â phob blas a chyllideb.”

Mae’r Ardd a’r ffair ar agor o 10yb i 4.30yp (mynediad olaf am 3.30yp). Mae mynediad i’r Ardd dim ond yn £5, gyda pharcio am ddim i bawb.
