1st Llanelli Scouts is a valued-based youth development organisation. It provides an environment for young people that helps build character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating in citizenship, and develops personal fitness. The purpose of the 1st Llanelli Scouts is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience a variety of things whether it’s battling through rapids on the rivers or relaxing around the campfire, with experienced and trained staff on hand so that they can assure a safe and exciting adventure.
On the 22nd of July 2022, 1st Llanelli Scouts held an event, the purpose of the event was to hold their annual AGM, the first face to face meet since the pandemic and to introduce their new section Squirrels for ages 4-6. They are the first in West Wales to have a Squirrel drey.
1st Llanelli Scouts was established in 1908 and they have had many children go through each of their ranks and become successful in life. They are very proud of the work they do and to watch the children accomplish many things during their time there. Here are the children accepting their achievement awards.
