Lib Dems to “fight for rural Wales” – Mark Williams
The Welsh Liberal Democrats are the only party that will put the needs of rural Wales first during the Brexit negotiations, it has been claimed.
Liberal Democrat plans for the Brexit negotiations would ensure that farmers are able to export their world-class goods to the single market, that we invest in Britain’s infrastructure with a further roll-out of superfast broadband across the UK, and will build 15,000 homes across Wales every year to enable young people to remain in their communities.
Commenting, Mark Williams said;
“Rural Wales and rural communities are in our DNA as Welsh Liberal Democrats. We have the deepest roots of any party in Wales, and have always championed our rural communities and the rural economy.
“Theresa May is willing to devastate our rural communities by threatening small businesses, by threatening our farmers, and imposing more cuts on Wales, just like the Conservatives did in the 80s.
“Whether it be in the National Assembly for Wales or in Westminster, Welsh Liberal Democrats always put the needs of our rural communities first. Investing in small and rural schools, fighting for a fair deal for dairy farmers, or campaigning for a reformed funding model for farmers.
“Under our watch, Wales will not be sidelined in the Brexit negotiations and we will not allow the Conservatives to wreck our rural communities and our livelihoods.”
