MAN REMANDED INTO POLICE CUSTODY FOR OFFENCES OF THEFT, FRAUD AND IMPERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER

Detectives investigating a scam where fraudsters purport to be police officers have charged a man.

Kye Harwood, aged 18, of London, has been charged with 3 x counts of theft, 3x fraud by false representation and 3x impersonating a police officer.

He appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday the 9th of February.

He has been remanded into police custody.

The charges relate to two incidents in Penarth and one in Cardiff which took place on February the 7th of this year.
