The Pembrey and Burry Port Summer Festival, held on Saturday 5th July, was a resounding success, bringing together the community for a day filled with fun, music, and local pride.

One of the highlights of the day was the return of the town’s beloved street procession. This year’s procession embraced a 1940s theme, delighting crowds as it made its way through the town, proudly led by the Burry Port Town Band.
The festival offered something for everyone, with a fantastic fun dog show, live music performances, a funfair, and a wide range of local traders and food stalls creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.

Gemma Leach Community Engagement and Events Officer at Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council, commented:
“It was wonderful to see people enjoying the day and celebrating as a community. The return of the street procession added something truly special, and the support from traders, volunteers, and residents was amazing. We’re proud of what was achieved and already looking forward to building on this success for next year.”

Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, and attended for making the event such a memorable one.
