Did you watch the Sky TV drama Chernobyl? Would you like to experience through the lens of a local photographer the desolate reality of Chernobyl today?
Last year Llanelli photographer Graham Harries of gphotography travelled to the 1000 mile exclusion zone that surrounds the nuclear power plant at Chernobyl in Ukraine. On the 26th April 1986 Chernobyl became infamous as being the scene of the worlds worst nuclear accident. 49,000 people were ordered to evacuate the area in just 3 hours, they never returned! Today the empty streets are being reclaimed by nature, the buildings that were once peoples homes are crumbling soon to be lost! Graham has produced a multi media event that shows what can happen if civilization gets reclaimed by mother nature!
