Mae Plaid Cymru yn barod i “ddisodli” Llafur, gan addo “llywodraeth newydd, gydag egni newydd a syniadau newydd” – dyna fydd neges yr arweinydd Rhun ap Iorwerth AS wrth gynulleidfa’r Gynhadledd yn Abertawe heddiw.
Wrth annerch aelodau a chefnogwyr yng Nghynhadledd Flynyddol Plaid Cymru gyda’r blaid yn arwain y polau cyn Etholiad y Senedd fis Mai nesaf, bydd Rhun ap Iorwerth yn annog pobl yng Nghymru i “ddod hefo ni”, gan ddweud “Gyda’n gilydd, gallwn ddewis llwybr gwahanol – un lle rydyn ni’n torchi ein llewys i gyflawni ein potensial, nid un lle rydyn ni’n setlo am yr hyn sydd gennym.”
Mewn araith fydd yn datgelu mwy o fanylion am raglen uchelgeisiol Plaid Cymru mewn llywodraeth ac wrth siarad o’r prif lwyfan brynhawn Gwener, mae disgwyl i Rhun ap Iorwerth AS ddweud:
“Heddiw, gyda chyfle hanesyddol i adeiladu cenedl o’n blaenau, rydw i’n mynd i amlinellu’r dewis sy’n wynebu Cymru – dau ddyfodol gwahanol iawn ond dim ond un opsiwn credadwy.
Mae newid seismig yn ein gwleidyddiaeth o’n blaenau. Mae newid nawr yn ymddangos yn anochel ac wrth gwrs mae’n hir ddisgwyliedig.
“Felly i bobl Cymru dwi’n dweud ‘dewch hefo ni’.
“Gyda’n gilydd, gallwn ddewis llwybr gwahanol – un lle rydyn ni’n torchi ein llewys i gyflawni ein potensial, nid un lle rydyn ni’n setlo am yr hyn sydd gennym.
Bydd Rhun ap Iorwerth yn amlinellu sut mae Plaid Cymru yn barod i arwain Cymru a disodli Llafur fel y blaid sy’n arwain y llywodraeth:
“Gadewch i ni fod yn glir. Dydyn ni ddim yma i weithredu fel cydwybod Llafur. Dydyn ni ddim yma i adfer Llafur. Rydyn ni yma i’w disodli.
“Rydym yn addo llywodraeth newydd, gydag egni newydd a syniadau newydd i brofi’r hyn y mae pob person sy’n credu yng Nghymru eisoes yn ei wybod – nad oes rhaid i bethau fod fel hyn.
“Mae Plaid Cymru yn credu’n ddwfn yn ein potensial fel cenedl. Rydyn ni’n dweud ‘Gall Cymru’ – ac rydyn ni eisiau dangos i chi sut.
“Bydd Arweinydd y Blaid hefyd yn apelio at y rhai nad ydynt erioed wedi pleidleisio dros ei blaid o’r blaen i wneud hynny fis Mai nesaf er mwyn “creu cynghreiriau newydd yn enw dyfodol mwy disglair” ac i “roi i Gymru yr arweinyddiaeth sydd ei angen arni a’r parch y mae’n ei haeddu”:
“Felly os nad ydych wedi pleidleisio dros Blaid Cymru o’r blaen, dyma’r amser.
“Dyma’r amser i stopio Reform ac i ethol llywodraeth sy’n fwy radical, yn fwy uchelgeisiol, ac yn ysu am wireddu newid positif yn fwy nag unrhyw lywodraeth aeth o’i blaen. Llywodraeth o gynnydd ac o werthoedd blaengar.
“Llywodraeth sydd ar ochr teuluoedd, athrawon, nyrsys, ffermwyr, perchnogion busnes.
“Hen ac ifanc. Trefol a gwledig. O’r gogledd a’r de. Siaradwr Cymraeg a’r di-Gymraeg.
“Cefnogwr gydol oes a phleidleisiwr tro cyntaf. Dyma’r amser i greu cynghreiriau newydd yn enw dyfodol mwy disglair.
“Gyda’ch cefnogaeth, gallwn roi i Gymru yr arweinyddiaeth sydd ei angen arni a’r parch y mae’n ei haeddu.”

The more you post Plaid propaganda, the more voters turn to Reform.
Plaid Cymru, Lindsay Whittle, and Controversies in Caerphilly Council Leadership
Summary Briefing
First Leadership (1999–2004)
2002 Social Services Review: Audit Commission found major failings; Whittle’s Plaid cabinet faced calls to resign.
2003 Parliamentary Criticism: MPs highlighted Caerphilly’s poor performance indicators.
Planning Disputes: Local anger over waste/recycling site proposals, with residents accusing the Plaid-led council of ignoring objections.
Second Leadership (2008–2011)
2009 Libel Case: Plaid councillor Colin Elsbury falsely tweeted that a rival was ejected from a polling station; paid damages and costs.
2010 Ty Darran Care Home: Proposed closure triggered protests and a no-confidence motion against Whittle (he survived).
Postscript (2012)
Senior Pay Scandal: A secret committee of Labour and Plaid councillors approved unlawful pay rises for senior officers; Plaid councillor James Fussell was implicated but denied voting in favour.
Overall
Whittle’s leadership placed Plaid Cymru at the heart of Caerphilly politics but also drew the party into repeated controversy — from governance failings in social services to libel cases, care home closures, and pay scandals. These incidents shaped the perception of Plaid’s legacy in Caerphilly Council.
Paul Price wow that’s a big list of complaints for over 25 years 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Andrew Rees so like a fine wine, wrongs become rights over time?
Paul Price what ?
The bullshit that goes on in politics with each party worrying only about how they can find fault with the opposition instead of working together to actually improve things is why most people have had enough of the established parties, the issue now is the clowns that think an extremist party funded from Dubai is actually going to improve anything for the ordinary people.
Andrew Rees going by the polls, the majority want change, Reform. It’s you lot causing the division to begin with. The left weaponise words. Populism being one such example. A dirty word to anyone now finding themselves in the minority.
Paul Price I’m neither Left or Right, voted different every time on manifesto.
Reform don’t have a manifesto they simply have an agenda and the populism you refer to is what Farage is using to whip up hatred, very similar to something that happened in the 1930’s. The party is dangerous and has no interest at all in improving things for the genuine working class.
You are right that people want change, the risk is if they allow Farage to be the change they will regret it for decades, if he gets the kind of majority Starmer has they will destroy the social care system including the NHS to allow their billionaire backers to profit from it the way they do the energy markets.
Andrew Rees don’t have a manifesto, do you realise how stupid you sound?
Paul Price try asking them for it, I have and so have others, they simply do not bother to reply. They have not updated anything since before the last General Election.
It’s not stupid, it’s taking the trouble to be informed and up to date.
Wonder who the stupid one really is 🤔
Paul Price And not forgetting Jonathan Edwards Plaid Cymru MP who assaulted his wife , Simon Thomas Plaid Cymru MS who was caught downloading category A child porn , Phil Williams married former Plaid Cymru chairman and MS who died in a massage parlour and Plaid Cymru leader Adam Price who quit after a report found misogyny, harassment and bullying was rife in the party
These are just opposition gripes Paul Price …personally I think that the treacherous Farage with his now confirmed Russian links should stay in their own country being English nationalists…come to think of it, surely you’re not Cymraeg falling for the Tories in Disguise? 🤔
Duplication of a loser who couldn’t run a bath never mind a country. As use as a chocolate teapot 🙈
Phillip Watkins when you buy Lee Evans from Temu.
Phillip Watkins coming from the Reform supporting fascist cretin 😂😂😂
