Copperworks Road in Llanelli is to remain closed this week due to falling tiles from Siloah Chapel roof.
High winds earlier this week caused slates to fall off the building onto the public footpath and the road.
Council officers closed the road temporarily for health and safety reasons due to potential danger to the public.
It will remain closed this week whilst work is carried out on the chapel roof.
