Starting on Thursday September 17th 2026, us over at CETMA Business and Community Centre in Llanelli are planning to do Conversational Welsh Sessions! This can be a good way to get some extra practice with speaking Welsh, and will happen from 10:15-11:15am with the space being open until 12pm for anyone who wants to stay for an extra chat or get some more practice with speaking Welsh. There is an interest in this for everyone to get into and re-learn this awesome language that may be challenging, but very very important to learn to open more opportunities for yourself.
The programme will include eight sessions, including:
10th September
24th September
8th October
22nd October
5th November
19th November
3rd December
17th December.
Participants are more than welcome to drop in at any session, and there is a £3 contribution towards the room, which can include a free coffee.
We are open to help anyone with the want to try to learn, re-learn or try to get better at speaking Welsh, considering the language is considered vulnerable by the UNESCO atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger (2010) It’s a very important language that still needs to stick around, considering it’s a language that can lead to larger and more broad job opportunities in the country. You can open far more doors by speaking Welsh and English, in comparison to only speaking English.
Welsh is always a great language in order to converse with people, considering you can find a great new community, meet new friends that you would normally not be able to connect instantly with by speaking English, get further support with learning the language, or try to help support a strong and historic language from a struggling database. I would absolutely recommend if there is any form of interest to have a look at CETMA’s Business and Community Centre at the dates mentioned!
See you there! Wele chi yna!
