“Where are our politicians? In recent weeks, barely a single UK city has been spared from Black Lives Matter protests many of which have escalated into riots. Labour, Lib Dem and Plaid Cymru politicians have been quick to “take the knee” in submission to a movement that has intimidated the public and attacked police officers. The silence from the Conservative Party has been deafening – no one is standing up for Britain!
According to Black Lives Matter, egged on by the BBC, we are all racist – we were born this way – and there is nothing we can do about it. They claim all whites are privileged and, therefore, can never understand. We are all guilty and should admit it. Yes, this is 2020 and, astonishingly, political lines are being drawn along racial lines which history tells us never ends well.
The brutal killing of George Floyd in the US sparked levels of civil unrest not seen in Britain for years. Police brutality is always wrong. But, 4,000 miles from Minneapolis, in a country with a very different history from the USA, protestors chose to descend on the Cenotaph – our sacred memorial to the millions of British heroes who died fighting racism and fascism. Is this really just about George Floyd or racism?
Black Lives Matter states its purpose is to bring down capitalism and defund the police. One of its founders admitted in a recent interview that she was a “trained Marxist”. It is clear this is not about racial equality. In reality, it is a Far Left political front designed to exacerbate our differences, rather than focus on the things that unite us. They have been joined by thousands of ‘useful idiots’; white, self-hating, middle class, spoiled brats, fresh from 3 years of brainwashing in our publicly funded universities – who demand that we “take the knee” at the altar of their Woke religion.
If we judge the past through the eyes of today no culture, civilisation or individual will escape. Italy will have to demolish the Colosseum and statues of Roman Emperors who fed Christians to the lions. Egypt should destroy the monuments to pharaohs who enslaved whole peoples and worked them to death to build the pyramids.
But the mob has friends in high places. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, has anti-British plans to remove the symbols of our history from London. The Government and the police have been pathetic. They bowed to the mob and set a dangerous precedent that disorder will get results.
All lives matter. It is racist to imply black lives matter more. History is a chequer board, with white as well as black squares. The British Empire was fundamentally a force for good in the world. We suppressed the slave trade for one thing. The Empire brought peace, prosperity, statehood, education, infrastructure, enterprise, the rule of law and democracy. We should be unapologetically proud to be British and defend our way of life against a tiny minority who have hijacked the airwaves and seek to erase our culture.
Our greatest Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, stood firm when others favoured capitulation – it was his finest hour. Now, when violence and disorder go unchallenged, we must not surrender our identity nor our prized values of individual liberty and democracy – this must not be our darkest hour.”
To what end are you inciting division and hatred? Is it because you are terrified that your racist stance is about to be challenged and come apart? Is it because people are waking up and realising that yes, there are massive inequalities in our systems here in the UK, and brutality withing the system doesn’t only happen in America? Are you losing your right wing thug base?
No-one, but no-one during any of the protests, demonstrations, speeches etc. has said that black lives matter ‘more’. You are trying to spread a falsehood in order to stir up the people who find it all a bit uncomfortable, and don’t want to have to do the work on themselves.
Although not one of the ‘useful idiots’ you describe with vitriol, I too stand with anti-racists in Wales, the UK, and beyond. If you do not stand with anti-racists, what do you stand with?
