Carmarthenshire pupils win prestigious British Library Competition

Pupils from Glan-y-Mor School have been crowned winners of a prestigious British Library event held in London.

The Glan-y-Mor team triumphed against schools from across the United Kingdom, delivering an exceptional presentation centred on a book by Black British authors. The standard of entries on the day was extremely high, making the pupils’ success even more remarkable.

The winning presentation showcased the creativity, confidence and collaborative spirit of Carmarthenshire learners.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Cllr Glynog Davies, said:  

This is a wonderful achievement for the pupils and for Glan-y-Mor School. Their dedication, creativity and teamwork are clearly reflected in the quality of their work. It is a proud moment for everyone involved, and they have represented their school and Carmarthenshire exceptionally well.”
